This is a respected, scholarly journal, put out by the Society for the History of Discoveries. In this volume are five articles on topics such as knowledge of Africa before 1500, and the importance, or lack thereof, of the horse to the Spanish conquests in America. Another article discusses the discovery and mapping of the north coast of North America. There is also a lengthy book review section. Naturally, in a work of this sort, the contents vary greatly from year to year. However anyone interested in early exploration will certainly find something of interest. I might add that, for a journal of this type, the price is quite reasonable. Back issues are available.
