Nineteen maps are described, although unfortunately not illustrated.  The term westward expansion applies to both the Atlantic crossing and the westward migration across the American continent.  The illustrations are mostly of ship models or ship illustrations on maps.  However the work may appeal to nautical buffs, and the price is right.
