Somewhat reminiscent of Phillips Maps of America, this work lists 1214 maps. It is based on the collection in the Bibliotèque Nationale du Québec. Each entry gives title, date, source, and location of copy. Dimensions are not given. Arrangement is alphabetical by author. An introductory section lists 41 atlases, with maps relating to the new world mentioned. There is a geographical index, with the items of each location being arranged chronologically. Twenty plates at the end illustrate some of the maps. I have found this book quite handy in bibliographical work. The emphasis is on maps of Canada, though other parts of the Americas appear. I recommend it as a useful reference for both libraries and dealers.
